Krishna and the First (Mudhal) Azhwars

(Source: http://kinchitkaramtrust.org/blogs/?p=5#comments)

Based on the references from Vishnu Puruna and relating them to Azhwar’s birth, it is clear that Krishna had not met mudhal azhwars and there is a time difference of 69,542 years between them.

The calculations as follows:

Dwapara Yuga
:

No of years without Sandhi Kalam = 720,000
Purva+Uttara Sandhi(200+200 deva varusham)= 144,000
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Total Years = 864,000
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Krishna left for SriVaikuntam (before Uttara sandhi) 720,000+72,000(purva sandhi) = 792,000
  2. Krishna left by Last day (plus 360 days) = 792,360 dwapara year
  3. Avatara Year of Mudal Azhwars = 861,902 dwapara year
  4. Time difference between Kannan and Mudal Azhwars = 69,542 Years
